Just bought a '74 evinrude 9.9. Cooling water just<br />barely dribbles out of pee hole. Impeller looks good and if I put water hose to tube going up to block from pump, no water comes out at the pee hole. Act like something is stopped up...any ideas?

check the hose that attaches to the tell-tale outlet. Probably got a dirt bobber or a spider up in it. Pull the hose loose and blow some compressed air through it.

I do not belive you motor has a pee hole and what you decribed is normal. The 74's I have seen only have a hole about 3/8 inch at the back and get no water until the thermostat opens. and then only a light spray. most of water exit just ablve the cavition plat. They added the pee hole water pump indicator later but not until about 1980
