Cooling water output

Hello All <br /> I have a 1987 Suzuki 115Hp. My question is the back of the motor has a little 1" by 2" rectangular hole that water comes out of when it is running. My question is, I see other motors running and they have a good sized water stream coming out of the motor, even at WOT I only have sporadic spray coming out. Is this normal or should I be concerned. My overheat alarm works but does not come on. Any advice?

Re: Cooling water output

You should have a constant stream of water out the pee hole. The fact that it doesn't seem to be overheating (which is good) suggests that maybe your pee hole is clogged. One of those red tubes that sticks in a spray can of WD40 or other spray lubricants will fit up into the pee hole and you can use it to check for obstructions. Or you can just pull off the hose that goes to it and blow it out. The pee hole is just an indicator, but it should be flowing constantly.
