Copper water tube replacement on a 78 150

Ive got a severely mangled tube on my 1978 150 Johnson.

How do I go about replacing it? Obviously it doesnt just pull out.

Hellava job Stony. Remove lower unit if for no other reason than to get that weight out of the way. It has to be off anyway to line up the water pump with the new water tube.

Remove the powerhead. Now, remove the adapter plate assembly that the powerhead sits upon. You can now unbolt the water tube from the bottom of that adapter plate and install the new one.
