correct base timing on 2000 4.3 GI TBI pefs

Does anyone know what the base timing should be set on a 4.3 GI TBI? Cannot seem to locate it anywhere.
If I had a bad ignition control module would that cause the timing to not advance?

One more thing, do I use the timing shunt or just jumper the diagnostic terminal for the TBI engine. Reviewed a number of posts, and cannot seem to find the answer. Most are for the carbed GL 4.3 L.
I have a feeling that my engine is running in Module Mode, as it is acting like the timing is not advancing.

No shunts for tbi.. Read the last paragraph by don...Its pretty simple dont deviate if you read Rodbolts description one can power tune the motor..it wont work
