Correct carb float level? Merc 9.9

Can't seem to get hold of a shop manual. Anyone know the proper float level for carb on 1987 Merc 9.9? Measure from where to where, and what is proper distance? Thanks.

From the bottom of the casting that the bowl is bolted too, to the top of the float should be 1"
