Correct Gear Lube/Oil for Alpha 1 Gen 1

Hi,

This may seem like an obvious question, but given that there are so many variations of Gear Lube available, I thought I would ask just to be safe.

I found that some bottles confuse you by saying that they are meant for Sterndrive Outboard units.

My local Canadian Tire store sells QuickSilver 92-858058qc1 (Premium) whereas the Marinas sell QuickSilver 92-858064qc1 (High performance).

I found a link that lists both of these but doesn't mention which one is better:

Also, are there any other common places I can acquire the drain plug gaskets from? Canadian Tire doesn't seem to carry them.

use the high performance gear lube in your alpha drive

the premium is for outboard gear cases

as far as the gaskets, you may find them here on iboats, otherwise your local mercruiser dealer will have them
