correct octane for 96 Force

all this octane talk has got we wondering.......I have a 96 Force.....40 horse.......<br />what is the correct octane?......I am getting mixed views from the shops around these parts....same thing on the plugs......3 of the local dealers say NGK.....1 says Champion.......owners-manual says Champion.......but I have heard the factory "up-dated" that to NGK?<br /><br />comments please.....thanks..........ZZ

The Clymer shop manual recommends Champion L76V. But the NGK plugs can be crossed referenced,no problem.<br />Recommended fuel is 87 pump posted octane minimum,with no alcohol.<br /><br /><br />------------------<br />Time to change my tagline
