I am in the process of setting up a new (to me) boat, 1973 Wellcraft, V20
steplift with 1990 200 hp Evinrude.
The last prop I ran resulted in 42.3 mph (gps) at 5400 rpm. The prop is an
aluminum 14.8 dia with 17" pitch, evinrude # 763467. I have a hydraulic jack
plate and the cav plate is approx 1 " above bottom of boat. Prop will begin to blow out in a sharp turn only.
What do I need to do in order to get the last 600 rpm out of this motor?
