Re: Correct Prop ?????

Okay? Is that a GPS speed or a speedo speed?
Okay? I know what the WOT engine speed should be; but what does your TACH say?

Next time out.. Take a GPS.. record the best speed you can get with it trimmed out the best ya can..
Then at that point.. See what your tach says.. That will help folks answers your questions..
Do ya know what pitch prop you run on the boat now?? Sometimes it is stamped on the hub or on the side of the prop.. If you are unsure.. Write down every number on the prop.. Might be able to figure what you got from that...

Jolly good day:D

We need to know boat details, type, length, dryweight.present prop size (near base of blades or under the prop nut.)
Need max rpm and speed at wot.(wide open throttle)lightly loaded.
Trimming out/up prop away from boat trimming in/down prop closer to boat.
trim in for hole shot out for maximum speed.

Now all we need is RPM @ WOT(good excuse to good boating)
A kilogram to pound conversion maybe:rolleyes:

about 1kg to 2.2lbs? I think? Been a while since geometry class:D
