correct thermostat for 1986 140 envinrude

Hve been looking on line for t-stats for this motor, ther appear to be 2 differant veratherm part #'s. one is a 384719 and the other is a 436195, I believe the differance is the temp one is a 105deg and the other is a 143 deg, question is which part # is correct for this motor. Thanks in advance.

The 1986 140hp Evinrude is a loop Charged design engine. The vernatherm (thermostat) is located within a plastic like body which is itself a water pressure relief valve. The OMC part number of the vernatherm is 394411.<br /><br />I didn't check to see what engines the numbers you stated pertain to.

the tstat assembly is part #434137, that has the above part # that mr. reeves posted which is a 143degree.
