Was changing out the water pump housing and gaskets lastnight. After removing the lower base, I noticed that the gasket had a gap in it and that the lower base was cracked. I noticed a housing on ebay for sale for a 80-150 Merc outboard. Picked it up for cheap. My question is will my motor, a 69' Merc 800 be able to use this pump base? In the picture, it resembles the one I just pulled off, but I'm not sure what type of motor it came off of with the exception of the 80-150hp description in the ad. Also scored a hopefully working switchbox for my motor for 25 bucks. If it works, I'm happy. Is anyone familiar with an ebayer by the screen name speedo384. He's the one I got the switchbox and pump housing from. As always, thanks for any help!
