i am looking at a boat (still, if you've followed my posts) that has pock marks and alot of gelcoat blisters. for reference what does it usually cost to have the hull re-gelcoated? this is on a 25 footer. the boat is so cheap and otherwise excellent that it might be worth it. thanks.

Re: Cost to Regelcoat Hull

I had a quote of 4500 to do a 18 foot Sidewinder in red and silver flake. That was 15 years ago so double that for now. Opps or YD might chime in. Pics would help tons. The blisters on the bottom might be covered with an epoxy coat and then bottom coated. The top might be able to be painted to save some cash. Pics would help to solve some of these questions.

Yo could always do it your self. I'm currently learning that it is not very hard to do these types of repairs. Just time and elbow grease! Unless there is a lot of them. But even then, do a section at a time. Its how I plan on getting it done.

Having the hull re-gel coated is not a solution to blisters, its far more involved.

Well..I dont know what "pock marks" are..

We dont know the boat .. just a 25 footer does not say anything..and so cheap could be your buying it for 50k compaired to 150k on the market..

What boat is it..( sorry I have not followed your post..you might want them here ).

The hull .. or topsides can be gelled..but why ? water cant pock gel unless its below then waterline ( even then gel can withstand Alot of time in the water ) ..

We need some pics and more info please..
