Cotton Canvas Conditoner?

I have a cotton canvas enclosure on the boat. While still in good condition, it has lost it's suppleness and feels "dry". It needs something to bring it back to life.

I found lots of products for Sunbrella and other man-made materials, but nothing for cotton. The waterproofing I found says nothing about a "conditioner".

Anyone ever tried melting wax?

I have some cotton canvas bags for backpacking and that's my preferred method for water proofing. It gives them a soft feel as well. I never thought about doing it on boat canvas until now...

You might look up a canvass "tent" coating if canvass is what you have. For many years there was a product that you put on with a brush or sprayed to waterproof canvass and it was supposed to condition it.
