Plot 115 Federal High Court Rd, Off Ikoyi Prison Victoria Island Ikoyi Lagos nigeria Dear Sir/Madam, I am Barr.David Carib. (Esq.), a Solicitor. I am the Personal Attorney to Mr.Kurt , a national of your country, who is an oil merchant, and also run a business school in nigeria. On the monday 31st of july 2000, my client, his wife and their son were involved in a plane crash on his way to his country. All occupants of the plane unfortunately lost their lives. Since then I have made several enquiries to locate any of my clients extended relatives, this has proven unsuccessful. you can click here to view the website where the incident happen in Paris France http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/859479.stm After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to trace his relatives over the Internet, but of no avail, hence I mandated my secretary to search for any possible relative of my late clients in the Internet before the bank get the account confiscated or declared unserviceable, the bank where the deceased had an account valued at about USD$12 million (TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS) The bank has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confiscated within the next 14 working days. I then decided to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you are from the same country and bear the same surname. The said amount will be paid to you if you comply immediately with all the necessary documents of the deceased in my possession. Immediately the money is paid to you, 60% of the total amount will be for me, 30% for you, while the remaining 10% should be for expenses or taxation as your government may required. I have all the necessary legal documents that can be used to back up our claim. All I required from you is your honest co-operation and assistance to enable us sees this transaction through. I guarantee you that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law. In other words, every document to affect this process will emanate from my table and I will perfect every document to be in accordance with the banking law and guidelines. So you have nothing to worry about, because we have all the legal documents to back it up when the fund is finally hits your chosen bank account. Please be rest assured that this transaction is 100% risk-free. Note that the particular nature of your company's business is irrelevant to this transaction. If this proposal is acceptable by you, to assist me achieve this goal, please endeavour to contact me through my private email address caribchambers3ng@yahoo.co.uk for more clarification and understanding in regards to this transaction. It can be kind of entertaining, danpemby, I've done a few. Use a dedicated email account not your regular one. Doesn't have to be the same one he sent the scam to. Gmail is best - they don't send header info. Don't give 'em any real information. See how many times you can get 'im to go down the the Western Union office to collect a money order that you've "sent". Use a clever name, like Phil McKracken, or Bart Simpson. And a made-up city and state, like Big Gulp, New England. Try to convince 'im that the proper title for lawyer over here is "Shyster."

Sorry BLU did not mean to hijack your thread o:)
LOL JT, I have read that if they find a sucker then the person backs out, they have "enforcers" here that still try to collect. I can't believe that this has been going on for YEARS and people are still falling for it.

Seems like their government doesnt do much to prevent or enforce it either.

Re: Could someome lend me a few bucks?

yeah blu lunch, that Minnow story is worth reading.

Anyway, it's like their leading industry. Hundreds if not thousands of guys, pecking away in internet cafes. Harvesting email addys from "guest books". Two or three rounds of form letters then they "sell" you to somebody with better English.

Notice the one above, the deceased is "Mr. Kurt"; after your reply, it'll become "Mr. Kurt Danpemby". Or maybe "Mr. Danpemby Kurt" - they don't have a complete grasp of the "given name/surname" concept.
