could somone with a 1991OMC V6 help me?

i'm having a problem with my shift switch!<br /> i've heard that a V6 is the same as a V8 in this year. if you have one, could you please describe how the shift inturrupter is secured? i guess there is a zip tie that holds it together. i don't have one on mine.i bought a clymer manual to fix this problem. go figure....it dosn't even list the shift switch in the index! thanks for any help...james
