Re: Could you imagine this??
It doesn't matter how old the boat is, or how many times it was used. It has a LIFETIME warranty, and claims of being a HIGH QUALITY product. High quality products don't do this. No matter the type of use. And lifetime warranties don't allow owners to fester this far.

It is obvious that the owner has attempted to resolve the situation (even sent Angler pictures and contacted management), and Angler has left him high and dry...evident by his comment here:

"Anglers Management has seen all the photos
and pretend they care, but they have made numerous excuses and lies about
picking the boat up and fixing it."

As far as not hearing the other side, or hearing from Angler?...If Angler wanted to take responsibilty for the boat, they would've. And this guy wouldn't have needed to go through the trouble of putting that stuff on the web. Angler knows they don't have an excuse for this type of workmanship.

Many large, wealthy companies simply don't step up to the plate for the average Joe consumer. They ignore these issues, in hopes that they go away. They sold the boat. And that is all some companies care about. The mere fact this problem is on the net is evidence enough that the problem was not taken care of.

I have a business. If there is a problem I take care of it ASAP...whether it is my fault or not. It works out better in the long run that way.

The owner indicates many of the problems happend right from the start. If they weren't taken care of by Angler, then they would get worse. And obviously the owner would lose interest in taking care of the boat. It would be no surprise if the owner let the boat sit (in or out of water) while waiting for Angler to fess up.

The only corrosion I see is on the outboard's zinc plate and fasteners. If the boat was used less than ten times, and allowed to sit either in or out of water, this corrosion would be normal. Rust on the cleats is a sign of poor quality cleats and hardware used. BTW, if you look at the tag on the outboard, the Yamaha was manufactured in Feb. of 2003. So the boat isn't that old. It could only be used so much in a year. Even if it was 10 years old, it shouldn't do that.

IMO, Angler should be ashamed of letting it fester this far. And they should certainly be ashamed of the quality of their product. $120,000 is a lot of money.

You guys who are trying to pin negligence on the owner need your heads examined. Kudos to the guy that owns this boat for trying to get what he deserves. I wish him the best of luck.

I will not be buying an Angler, that's for sure.
