Well this is a 16' vee haul and it is 40year old. I have a soft spot in the middle of the boat and when i pull my back seats up to get to the battery/fuel tank area there is a rip in the glass and if i pick it up i see wood that is wet. The holes in the bildge area were not pluged a few times out so i know some water got in there then but the floor was soft in them 2 spots when i bought the boat. Now is there a way to check if i need a major floor fix without taking the whole floor out? And Can I dry it out under the floor through the 2 holes? I was thinking if i just took out the floor where the battery/fuel go that would be to back to fix and at same time can look and see if damage goes any further up from there. Then the soft spot in the middle of the boat fill it with foam or cut it out. The vinyl floor stops right before the tear in the back then turns to just plain glass. Another ? what are the holes for to begin with i just pluged them with the 2 plugs i found in the boat so the rain would stay out?
