How tight should the coupler snap onto the ball? How tight is too tight? I have to really get crank down on mine to get it to snap shut and then almost pry it up with something to get it off. Thanks

Re: coupler

Yeah, I've tried a couple of different types but it's not changed anything. I'm wondering if I need to back the nut off a couple of turns underneath. It just snaps so tight against the ball.

Re: coupler

if you have a receiver hitch take the draw bar (w/the ball) and attach it to the coupling. then adjust the nut, so that you can lock it, but it has no slop. always put a locking pin, bolt, thru the coupling. i prefer a lock myself, then i know no ones has messed with the coupling.
