Cover--color change?

Bought a new Hurricane Deck Boat. When I picked it up I discovered it had a black cover. As I live in SW FL, this is not optimal in the summer sun as it will probably be over 150 degrees underneath and cause condensation issues, mold and other problem with interior and panel. Is there a way to dye the cover (doubt it, as it's a vinyl type material) or cover it with white material?

Nope,...........

You could probably use it as a Pattern if you want to sew a New White 1........

Flybuddy, There is a product that auto dealers use to change the color of a cars interior. I think it works on vinyl seats.

Also, spray paint companies (Rustoleum...) are starting to market paint that is suitable for plastic items. You might try some of that on a similar scrap of fabric. If it is not too stiff, and not too heavy, it may be suitable for your application.

Here is another option: Have you considered selling your cover on ebay to get the most you can out of it and then getting a new light colored cover? Since your boat is new the cover should be in great shape. You might be able to get 50+ cents on the dollar but that will get you pretty far to getting an iboats cover - www.iboats.com/coverfinder

Congrats on the new boat!
