Covering GPS/Depth Finder Hole

Am selling current boat that has GPS/Depth Finder unit that I want to put on next boat. Question: How do I effectively cover the hole in the padded console after I remove the unit? It is a Hummin Bird 383c, with a four screw, pedastle mount. I've thought about using an affordable compass, but wonder if there is a cheaper, and "cleaner" way way of covering the hole. A fuse panel directly below prevents me from simply installing a cup holder.

Thanks for your time and interest.

You are thinking along the correct line. How about a handheld GPS/Cell phone holder with a bottom screw mount? How about a VHF Radio or FM radio

Cover with a small piece of teak wood or smoked plastic.

if your selling the boat to get another one i would leave the unit on and use it as a selling point to the buyer since ita already installed and new owner wont have to deal with issue of buying on for the boat. just my opinion...
