I just bought a 25hp honda. The gasket was not fitting right. So I took it off and put silicone sealant to hold it on better. Will this work for a few days or a few years. Should I just buy another one?
Only adhesive I know of that works for that is 3M 5200, which takes a couple of days to cure. Even at that, the original gasket may come up short, so a new one may be best. Sure will be easiest and fastest.
