Picture 002.jpgWas fishing last fall and had done real well on seabass. Was comming in to load the boat and clean the catch. There was a young girl crabbing at the dock. She had about a dozen Blue Crabs anywhere from 4-6 inches. The marine police were at the dock and was checking our catch and gave me a warning about the numbers on my boat.
Then the cop spies the girl and starts to ask about the crabs she had in her bucket.
He instructs her that 6 are not legal, undersized.
I told him there was no size limit on Bluecrabs and he said WRONG.
He made the girl throw them back.
We felt bad and gave her some bass and she was happy.

I came home and looked up the rules.NO SIZE LIMIT ON BLUE CRABS!!!

This guy has been a cop for 20yr.Seems they would know the rules????? Jerry

He was wrong, I just checked FWC's website, no minimum. People make mistakes, including cops.

Maybe you misunderstood and the fish cop was making her turn back egg bearing females?
