Just noticed a crack in my Gimbal Housing Helmet

is this a serious problem?

can it be welded!

what is the estimated cost to repair?

That appears to be starting from the port side hinge pin drilling in the bell housing. Replace it.

Depending on serial number, a new housing is $650 or $850, and probably about 2 or 3 hours labour.

Agree, replace it
Go to Offshore Only and contact Sick Stringer, he has all kinds of good used parts, and he is on the east coast
