I have a 3.0 4clyd with a crack on the side of the block, a small crack, fix it with JB weld. Well no more water leaking and the compression test was good. What im asking is would a crack make my motor run bad n smoke a little bit? I have been having carb problems to.

Depends on if something else cracked or not, and what color the smoke is. Compression tests are about the last test you would look at for leaks from the cooling system. Cylinder leak down tests, and pressure testing the cooling system (after draining and blocking off the manifolds) would be two tests you should do.

The smoke is black Smutty looking gasy smelling. Spark plugs are black and real smutty. No water in oil, but im getting gas in my oil. I have had the boat on the water n ran pretty good. the problem was when i backing down the boat ramp i guess it was flooding out could pull it back up on level ground a crank on it a little and it would crank back up.

check the yellowy-clear hose from your fuel pump to the carb - any gas in it means fuel pump has failed - dumps gas in the carb throat

As said above or the carb is flooding over.
