Hey Guys,
Got what I hope is an easy one. My swim platform has a split in it that I would like to repair in early spring. The platform is the smaller type just to one side of the outdrive and made from teak wood. What product should I be using to glue this back together?

I hate to say my boat is in storage so I wont have pics right away.

Thanks!

I'd recommend Titebond III AFTER a good wash down with Acetone to remove the oil from the wood. Better yet would be to just replace the piece. Teak IS expensive but that is not a large piece of wood to replace. Should cost less than 10 bucks to replace it.

Re: Cracked/Broken Teak Platform

Hey Wood, I think I am going to follow your advice and replaced the craced wood. I just got her out of storage and I really don't like the idea of gluing it. Next question? Where can I get some Teak Wood for the repair? I am thinking they dont sell it at Home Depot.

Also, I am planning to use Seikens Natural on the teak once I clean it up. Anyone have any feedback on this product?
