cracked hull 3x ???

What would you do??? A new boat you purchased had the hull crack 3x first 2 repaired by manu. 2x they had it 2 mo. at factory it has now cracked again after 11 mo.

I have not had to face that problem.
It seems on the surface, time for refund
or replacement.
Manu give any reason for failure?
Might be worth disclosing name of manu,
there might be others.........
could join forces and get relief.

Are we getting the full story? :/ For us to provide any significant help it would help if we knew what part of the hull cracked, where it cracked (keel, sides, transom), whether its I/O or outboard, and what make it is. If you are persistent you can get a buyback, especially if your state has a consumer protection or lemon law. You need to document dates, times, water conditions, trailering distances, and any other details that help regardless how trivial you think they are. My daughter and son-in-law did it with a new I/O that was a problem. The refund was right down the last penny. Man, she's like an angry pit-bull when anyone begins to pull her chain. Must have got it from her old man. Be professional, but persistent. Most of all, know you are right. If you have a misadjusted trailer, have operated the boat in a way that the manufacturer or dealer can prove was abusive, you have a problem.

Sounds like my wife. Nothin' gets by her.....8) Don't know where she got it though.....

But on the subject. I agree that if the circumstances that led to the cracking were not in any way caused by you, there is recourse. Lots of pictures with dates, witnesses, 3rd party opinions(Possibly a marine surveyor) will all help..Leave nothing to assumption, cause they won't.....

split on starbord side 25-30% of the way back from bow, apox 2/3 way up from keel in the side. boat is plastic. plastic splits thru. Crack original from possiable improper trail support by manafucture. Plastic will bend deform crack if not supported just right. Manu. later issued trailer mods. extra suppoprts but boats do continue to split.

I now think you have three issues and while it may be a fight, you have more to go with. First is the boat dealer. He sold you the boat and trailer combination -- right? He knowingly or unknowingly sold you a defective "copmbination". The refund will ultimately come from the dealer. The dealer will have to work with the boat and trailer manufacturers. Then you can also go after the trailer manufacturer since they KNOW they have a problem if they've already added extra bracing. Finally, go after the boat manufacturer as it sounds like the boat is simply not designed to be trailered. If it takes a specially reinforced trailer to haul it and you weren't told that, there's your case. DOCUMENT man -- DOCUMENT.

How old is the boat? I would demand a brand new replacement. I have a friend whose Procraft split open and they replaced it. He then in turn traded it for a quality boat.

I Think you might have a Case with Triumph /Logic,.....
And of course the court papers will include the Dealer.....
I don't see the Trailer people liable.....End Use is out of Their Control......

I Know I'd be looking for a Full Refund,..........
No Way I'd want Another Copy of a hull with Known Defects......
'Course,... They'll Blame that on the Trailer.....

Almost enough to make ya wanta Run out,+ buy a Bayliner.............ddd

Is it one of the Polyethylene Roto molded boats?

I'm surprised you would have cracks in it. Sounds like a bad batch of Polyethylene.

It would help a lot if you gave more info. Don't hold back.

A The trailer is supplied by the manufacture so it is they who set it up and would be responsiable not the dealer .
B If you go to triumph owners sight. triumphowners.net you can read about more than one that has cracked this many times its not a first by any means.
I have pics but do not know how to get them uploaded to this site I have complied some at groups.msn.com/boatfix. this contains many pics of the issues with these boats. cracks of several peoples boats warper hulls bad wireing ect.
