Last week my mechanic called to say my lower unit had a hairline crack in it and was gonna be hard to keep sealed. Long story short I bought a used one from him and I still have the old one. It has a low water pickup and was told by him that it was a "hi performance" unit. I took it to him for the forward gear not working (reverse still does) he thought the clutch dog might have been rounded off. I really don't need this laying around the house. What would be a fair asking price if all of his information is true? Anyone interested?
