Good day,

I have noticed that where there the vinly on my boat has been factory dyed. it is very stiff and i can literly push my thump into it and crack it.

is there anything i can do to bring some moisture into the upholstery.

i grabbed some mcguires leather cleaner/moisturizer and rubbed everything down.

but is there anything i can do to soften the vinly up and make it movable, and not so stiff.

i was thinking like a mousturizer type cleaner

Re: Cracking upholstery/ vinyl

I don't know of anything that will breath new life into dryrotted vinyl, even at those first stages where the cracks aren't too bad and the vinyl just seems hard and dry. If you find a cure please let us know, my upholstery is 19yrs old and it shows some cracking too and tried all sorts of stuff even grammy's remedies didn't work.
