i just finished a rebuild yesterday afternoon on my GT 100hp johnson outboard model STLCEM, but a ran into a major set back when mounting the powerhead to the leg, the end of the crankshaft that accepts the input shaft broke out. i have looked on the BRP website and that crankshaft is not avaliable!!!!! does anyone know where i can get a crankshaft for this motor???

Re: Crank?????

Unfortunately you've learned the hard way that the powerhead cannot be tilted when lowering onto the adapter plate if the lower unit is installed...... the bottom flange of the crankshaft will break every time. Don't tempt a repeat..... remove the lower unit first.

Try the salvage yards - there should be no shortage of good used ones.
