For lack of the proper name that is what I call it. I dug out my old 1972 mercury 40 (4.0 hp) to put on my duck boat so I can buck the current of a small river I hunt on. Fired it up and ran it for a few minutes, pulled the cover and it was oily inside. There is a small black tube that runs from the bottom of the crankcase to the top. It is hard, brittle, and broken. I haven't been to the boat store yet but is this tubing available, or is there a good replacement?. I have some gasoline rated tubing for chainsaw/weed eater I wonder if that would work.
