crankshaft bearing cage

1983 mercury 80hp motor. Would it be ok to reuse the metal cages if i replace all the needle bearings on the crankshaft. Thanks in advance.....

Yup, no problem. the cages are not part of the friction surface, they just hold the bearings in place and spaced apart.

Thanks guys. Thats exactly what I was thinking. The roller bearings do all the work.
