Ok... I just got my crankshaft re-done at a machine shop. It's for a Mercruiser Inline 6 165 HP I/O.
In the Mercruiser manual, it states to pry the crank and the thrust bearing covers to seat them as you tighten them. I'm not sure I am getting this right and want to ensure they are 100%. I'll be researching on the web as well.
Can anyone expand on this a bit more for me? I don't see any play or movement even after following the steps carefully.
