Hey Bondo!!! Thanks for your concern.I had someone come to look at it and they are ordering me a new one.The round pipe needs to be formed at the stove junction to oval which makes it a custom part.There was a small part of the oval section that had corrosion on it that I sanded off and made some pinholes while doing so.I made a collar of Hi temp stove cement around the entire oval section about 1/2 thick and feathered it up the pipe until smoothe.Sanded it and Hi temp painted it.The chimney guy said it will outlast the new section of chimney he is ordering.The positioning of the holes before the repair we in a place where it created a vaccum when the stove was burning.I confirmed this by holding a lighter at the holes while a newspaper was burning inside and it sucked the flame in.Believe me ,its safe !!! But I am going to replace it anyway.We really dont burn to heat the house.Just a small fire on very cold mornings for an hour and sometimes the same at night.And a quick paper or cardboard blaze once in a while which only lasts 3-5 minutes.I am so paranoid that I stick my head in the attic and take a sniff anytime we burn the stove for more than an hour .One of the benefits of installing pull down stairs in my ceiling.Thanks again for the concern .Charlie
