Crazy Idea - Tell me what you think

I am buying a Sailboat, plenty out there.

Originally I was going to buy a pontoon boat, but I need a license for that and I lost mine. Aint getting it back for awhile. A sailboat I dont need a license.

Here comes the craziness.

What do you call a sailboat with a pontoon stabalizer?

I am going to go that way. 24'+ sailboat

Add a pontoon stabilizer to the side of the sail boat.

Oh I forgot to add, I would be somehow attaching storage or livable space if I come up with a safe enough idea. Then perhaps I can extend the thought out further by doing it to both sides of the sail boat. I know I would be destroying the resale value of the sail boat itself by creating holes on the sailboat itself to fasten supports. I would try to make it appealling and dont want it to look like junk. It would just look weird like a Nissan Cube, or Chrysler PT Cruiser. That then would then make my idea a Trimaran!!!

Can I raise the sail up higher by getting a longer mast. Mearly for gaining headroom. How would I do it on the cheap but still be safe.
