Create seat bases on F/G hull and plywood decking?

I have a Bayliner Capri 1400, and I'd like to build a seat base on top of plywood and the fibreglass hull where it angles up to the side of the boat. The back of the seat will be against the gunwhale, with the seat facing into the middle of the boat. I will use 3/4" plywood to build a platform/box for a "folding fishing bass boat" seat. I can attach the box to the plywood decking using wooden cleats, but the F/G floor slants up from the plywood. The box will sit on 8" of plywood and 7" of F/G. Can I anchor the box to the F/G, if so, how? Is it even necessary if the box is mounted on the plywood?

Thanks
