Yes -- a friend of mine had cracks develop in a brand new Crestliner a few years back. They fixed it without question. Stay after them. you have a warranty. What excuse are they giving you?

The warranty statement you received with the boat (normally a separate document or its printed inside the user manual) should specify what it does and does not cover. I would go through that document with a fine tooth comb. Of course there is always the fact that you may have hit something and aren't telling us the whole story, but we'll have to take you at your word. Take some pictures of the damage, document what's been done, and send that off to Crestliner. If they refuse and you really feel this is worth continuing to fight for, see an attorney. Letters to the Minnesota Better Business Bureau may help jar them loose. Be polite but firm in your documents.

Local dealer may have voided your warranty with the unauthorized repair. That is why they won't document the work they did. Best bet may be to go after the dealer for damages. But what will that get you.

If you fail in your attempt to get a repair done, your job experience should allow you to design a suitable reinforcement. Granted, that shouldn't have to be the case but in the end, it may be the easier solution. You have a very nice boat. My neighbor has one.
