am going to patch my alum hull 16 ft crestliner,,has 6 inch crack along side stringer weld, this is an extremly thin hull,maybe 1/8 inch,, the boat repair guys here west coast canada, wont touch it with welder, they have tried and it just wants to burn thru,,yes i'm talking about alum boat repair shop and they also build alum river boats,, its a terribly thin hull,,,,soo,, her name is tin can and the folks at crestline made her that thin shes a nordic 16,1982,no i'm not junking her,some fool ran her aground,hard,no,not me,, anyway the question is i want to use a flexible sealant adhesive between the hull and alum patch that will be riveted,, any info on correct sealant,,,would be very helpful,, 5200 maybe????

That's as good as any. And then, I'd coat the entire patch with Gluvit and paint it for UV protection. Should be sealed for a good while.

I would love to coat her with gluvit but at this time it's not available in Canada,,something about the labeling,,instructions only in English,,must be both english and french,,we get stuck on this alot,,is there another product similar to gluvit
