If the water is inches shallow or the croc or gator is laying on hydrilia, they can lunge or leap quite a ways. I have personally witnessed it in the everglades. Rode close past one WOT and I saw him or her leap 6' away and 3' vertical in the opposite direction.

You have to be insane to take a tour like that in a canoe!!! Crocks are known to hit the bottom of a boat on purpose.Canoes dont need much help to tip.
