Hi All,

My 1985 Johnson 25hp tiller outboard is up and running like a champ. The shallow water drive bracket however is broken in two, and although I can still get it to function, it's not easy for the wife and kids to manipulate without being able to use the lever. It's an important feature to have working properly where we boat.

I am having a heck of a time finding the replacement part - so I'm wondering if anyone knows whether a similar (but different part #) bracket would fit my motor? I figure some of you guys may have run into this situation before?

Thanks,
Dave

Google it there are many available. Or in the faqs is a list of outboard salvage yds one of them will probably have it. Or to make it better find the centersection off of a newer 25 hp they use the 15 hp version of the shallowater drive and is much easier to use.

Thanks, I'll take a look. I did find the part on-line new, for $72 (yikes) -
