Look at the improvement from post one to post two, so you are improving minute by minute, even 21 minutes made a difference. Or was it proofread by the Admiral? :)

I had both eyes done in March. Easiest medical procedure I ever had. Night driving wasn't safe any more and my glasses weren't helping much, day or night. After the first eye was done, I would open/close my eyes one at a time and I couldn't believe how blind I'd become. I don't need glasses anymore, read with ease and I had distance implants in both eyes. Very occasionally I get a little blurred looking at something close, but usually all I need is to put some light on it. Worst part - all the darned drops! As important as they are, I hate eye drops. Wait til the other eye is done, ezbtr. :D

Mrs Ken is office manager for the leading eye surgeon in this area. Reports are that it is like night and day difference. Go for the "crystal" lens if you can afford it. (advice just sent from Mrs Ken)

Re: Ctaract surgery! yay!!

what effects do you get with floaters?

They always seem to be in the way when reading or trying to look at something up close. It's just weird. It's like a shadow goes by sometimes.

Re: Ctaract surgery! yay!!

I have had both lenses replaced due to cataracts and it a huge difference for the better while it was slightly different with each eye I went from 20/600 to 20/80 with in 24 hours and to 20/25 with in 30 days and yes I only need reading glasses for fine print after wearing glasses full time for 20 years, The only sort of odd effect you will have for about 6 mouths at night you will have a halo around lights then one day its gone.
Its like getting your life back.

Re: Ctaract surgery! yay!!

My wife had it done a couple years ago in July, had the first one done then couple weeks later, on her birthday, had the second one done. She had got to the point that it was not safe for her to drive at night, she does use reading glasses and they somehow fixed her eyes so she would see out of both at the same time, her brain had to adjust to images from both at the same time, she said that was a strange transition. She is happy with the results now.

Saw 3rd doc(who will do surgery this Monday) and opted for the Torix(sp????) lens for $1200, supposed to make me glasses and astigmatism free, good at long distance I was told, except maybe for fine print if any, may get left eye later as well - Beleive I will have temp prescription , will see how it works out but cant wait!
