Cuddyy cabin floor drain

I have a puddle problem in my 2001 Crownline with water dripping off people from swimming... puddling up on the floor when they go in the cabin. Inside the floor is lower than the rest of the boat floor. Is it possible to open it with a holesaw in the middle and installing a drain grate from the top? Is the bilge V below the floor or is it full of foam?

Otherwise I have to suck the water out with a shop vac.
