Runs excellent and well cared for. Recently after 1-2 days downtime, starting takes 10-15 seconds of cranking when it used to kickoff after 2-3 seconds. Feels to me like fuel is bleeding down. How and where to look first?? I have diesel knowledge but not this motor. Thanks

Thanks Bond-O
There are so many interfaces from the fuel tanks to the injectors that I'm not sure where to begin. Since I'm still making full HP, I'm thinking it's bleeding down internally back to the tanks. Wondering if the transfer pump or lift pump has a common problem with bleed down I can attack, or if this system has a check in-line that may have failed? Once I get fuel pressure to the injectors all is well. Anyone have any experience with this?
