custom bench in the rear of my 1950 help!!!

i removed the middle bench and plan on building a new one about 2' back so theres more room to move about the boat.
i've taken the first steps on this but not sure where to go from here


what i built already


and this is my idea for the verticle framing


any thoughts or ideas?! please help

Seats are normally hull support in an aluminum boat. Changing the layout requires allot of thought and design. Post a full photo of the boat so we have a better understanding.

Yup you should be able to get by with that since you have healthy gunwales on the boat. I would suggest a visit to a scrapyard and get aluminum tubing to build with....... will not rot and stronger for it's size then wood.
