Custom Covers?

OK, now that is getting hot at Lake Mead, I took down the canvas side panels to let in the air. However, after a day of boating (remember I slip the boat), I want to cover the cockbit without reinstalling all the canvas. I found a cover in the boat, but it does not work with the rear bimini brackets. Clearly that second half of the bimini was added after the cover was purchased.

Because of the rear bimini brackets, there is not enough material to reach the back of the boat. Maybe 1" short (maybe even less).

Does anyone make custom covers for the covering the open areas and windshield? I had a "stretch" black cover for my motorcycle what would have been perfect for the boat. I am far less worried about water, maining protection from the sun, and to a lesser extent dust. MUST BE WIND RESISTENT or it will blow away.

THANKS GUYS!!!!

From the way things are going, you won't have much of a lake to boat on anyway when it all dries up! I would think you could get a custom canvas cover done that will incorporate the rear bimini.

Re: Custom Covers?

Ask around, especially at marinas and boat dealers.

I have a very unique deckboat with a raised helm and rear seating area. In my neck of the woods, there was a "canvas" company that actually came to my dock, did all the measurements, and installed it. The bottom edge has a sewn-in line that keeps the cover tight below the belt rail. They also installed loops that one could attach small sand bags to aid in keeping the cover on. I didn't have any small sand bags, so I just threw some lines over the cover and tied each end off to my lift rails.

Check with a canvas shop. They should be able to modify your cover to fit. When I added my bimini the shop did that as part of the service.
