Custom Craft Boat?

I recently bought a 1986 Custom Craft center console boat, 15 1/2 feet. Seems like a well-built boat. Does anyone have any information on Custom Craft boats? the ID plate is so worn I can't even read where it was built. Also, is Custom Craft still in business? Any information appreciated. Thanks. Jim from Florida.

Got the same thing, probably the same boat, love it. Never get to go WOT with a 50 merc. Am looking for a replacement, where are you at? Believe they were built in TAMPA area by 2 brothers. Also built boats under the RIVIERA name. One brother still builds them HANS, RIVIERA FIBER CORP. RIVIERA BEACH FL. Had him build me an 18ft. about 5 yrs. ago. Like I said, am looking for a replacement. regards FRED

If your Custom Craft has a USCG MIC of LMQ (first three digits in HIN), it was built in Douglas, GA. I have one of the last ones built before they sold the manufacturing business in 1996. FYI, they had a fire that destroyed a lot of records. Frank Franklin of Custom Marine in Statesboro, GA was very helpful when I needed capacity info on my boat. Good luck!

My hull nbr starts with CFM and the last nbrs. are 84A. CFM 19019M84A, how do you decode this info? FRED

Thanks for the info. My boat HIN starts with a CFM. Wonder if this makes it a Tampa-built boat?
