I lost me pictures of the wiring of my magneto on a 1957 Evinrude 35hp. The wire on the center post of the cut off switch goes to one set of points are does it has to have wires going to both set of points??? If someone has a diagram of that please let me know.. Thank you to everyone nice site:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Thank you but it is not electric start its just a tiller model Serial #25028-12064. Where does the wire from the center post of cutout switch go to the magneto? Does it just connects to one set of points or does it connect to the mag plate?????

If we're on the same page it goes to one set of the points so it drops a cylinder if it over revs.

No Title

But that isn't all. The base of the vacuum switch is connected to the mercury switch on the throttle gear. The vacuum switch won't work unless connected to the mercury switch, and the mercury switch needs to be good. Ignore the white wire coming from the solenoid since you have a rope start.
