I added a different Biminni top to my boat for this season. The mounting hardware on the sides of the boat are in different locations than the original. My tonneau cover has slots with Velcro flaps cut into it at the spots where the posts and mounting brackets were for the old Bimini. I need to make new slots to accommodate the different location. Does anyone know if there is a kit or something or has some tips for doing this? Obviously I can just cut a slit in it to make it fit.

Thanks!

You will want to seam the ends of the cuts to stop rips and reinforce. Some flat Nylon strapping will reinforce the edge of the cut. If you do not have a sewing machine, you can use some iron on patching for the reinforcement.

Take it to a canvas shop and they will charge you a nominal fee to do it correctly.

Thanks for the ideas...I reached out to a local canvas shop (didn't even know I had one!!) and we will see what they say.
