Is it possible to cut a rounded corner by hand with acrylic? Or am I barking up the wrong tree, its .08 in thickness... I dont want to ruin this piece and I should have thought about this earlier, but here I am nonetheless... Thanks...

Dumb question, but I cant find an answer...

I've done it before. I used a jigsaw with a very fine blade so it wouldn't snag or chip. The trick is to cut a bit than let the plastic cool so it dosent warp or melt on you, let the saw do the work, don't force it. Also, line the bottom of the saw with some masking tape so you don't scratch the plastic.

Your dimension is a bit confusing, .8" is 3/4", .08" is pretty thin stuff, down around 3/32". Dremel tool or Rotozip with a spiral fluted bit. Go slow and leave the backing paper on! Sand the edge to finish. And clamp it down as close to the cut as possible with a block of wood or something, vibration is your enemy!

A router will also do this task, but as said above... go slow!

Yup, .08 thin stuff... Im fabbing a replacement for a dual lever control, the old one was brittle and cracked impeading lever movement... I loaned out my dremel last week to a friend  and im trying to do it with a plexi cutter blade, kinda like an exacto for plexi, but all the directions are for straight cuts....

Inside corner or outside corner? If inside you could use a drillbit to give the right radius then worry about cutting the straights to connect it.

I'd sandwich and clamp the acrylic between two pieces of 1/4 hardboard/masonite. Use old one to mark out pattern on said hardboard. Use a jig saw around the edge and drill bits for the holes if you have them big enough.

Hope that makes sense.
