Cutting floor out

I am currently doing a partial floor replacement in my 65 larson and I am having some trouble cutting it. I am using a cutting off tool with my compressor and it works great on the fiberglass but when I hit the wood under it, it doesn't do so well. It cuts a little bit but mainly just burns it. I can't be sloppy and just pry everything up since I am only replacing part of it. I'd like to use a circular saw and just set the depth but I can't get up close to the sides. Any ideas?

Read posts and threads in the restoration forum. A circular saw set to a blade depth if 11/16" is the tool of choice. Make sure you have proper PPE ( list of PPE in the DIY sticky)

I was thinking about an oscillating tool but I've never used one so idk how well they work...do they struggle or do they cut it easily?

They work very well ! Just spring for the good blades ... You'll be surprised at how much you use it for different things ...

Well I bought one today and didn't see the post about buying the good blades so know how that turned out lol. Great tool though! I was already thinking about how to use it around the house for different things. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it. I might be starting a new thread on my boat just to consolidate all of my questions into one spot. Is that a better idea then posting a new one whenever I need help with something?

IMO, its usually helpful for those offering advice to see what you're working on (boat/motor/trailer), whats been done so far, and what advice others have given so far...
