Cylinder head identification please

The identifying number on the cylinder head is 875-8472.03 It's from a small merc twin... perhaps an eight HP, but maybe not. <br /><br />If anyone can tell me what it might be, I would greatly appreciate it. The only other identity is on a metal tag on the head D091091<br /><br />thanks<br />Oysterr51

Looks like a 1992 mercury 8hp

Sometimes the carb number will tell you the HP

Hi Sloopy,<br />Thanks for that...do you get it directly from the part number?... Now I can look like a service manual.<br /><br />I was told it was an 8 HP, and it fits perfectly on my Double Eagle 16.6 as a kicker.

You can find exploded parts diagrams at mercurypartsexpress.com using your serial number D091091.<br /><br />A service manual is a great idea, per Mercury p/n 90-13449--1.
